Hi everyone! My name is Haley, and I am the Director here at Next. I have had the pleasure of being a part of the Next family in different roles and Next is truly where my heart and passion is! I enjoy providing oversight to the programming and staff here at Next, and love seeing our young adults reach their goals. My favorite thing about Next is all of the services that we can provide and the amazing team we have here! Outside of work I stay busy coaching my son's sports teams, I love cooking, and cheering for the Seahawks.

Hi there! I'm Christy, the Office Manager at Next. I am thrilled to be a member of this fantastic team of individuals who are dedicated to providing young adults with the chance to shape and create a future they can take pride in. I am active in organizational management, social media platforms, and will soon be helping to oversee our onsite GED testing program supported by partner, PAX Learning Center.
I have resided in Vancouver for the last five years and am a proud mom of four kids in their twenties. Currently, two are pursuing higher education—one at Clark and the other at WSU—so they keep me well-informed about the latest trends. I enjoy the mountains, fall weather, spending time at Disneyland, indulging in roller coasters, playing Skyrim, and I am currently in the process of designing a steampunk-themed office at home that reflects the essence of my persona as an airship captain! Little secret – you never really grow up completely.

I was am associate professor teaching in GED and English as a second language courses for 16 years. I wasn't always a teacher. I never went to high school. I earned a GED at age 19 while serving in the military. Later in life, I earned my first college degree at age 41, and a bachelor's degree at age 47. I learned I liked to teach and went on to earn a master's degree in education so I could teach. I share this because no matter what you've done, or where you have been and are at, your future is not written. I love teaching GED classes because it is so awesome to see people discover they can learn and then see doors open right in front of their eyes.
